Bharti Mistry Jindal is a Bay Area native, and is the mother of three kids in PAUSD (all at Duveneck Elementary). She has always been an active participant in her kids’ schools, including Co-Chairing a co-op preschool’s Silent Auction and numerous stints as room parent. Since coming to Palo Alto in 2019 she has been very active with the Duveneck PTA, including Co-Chair of the Harvest Carnival and of Bagel Thursdays, as well as helping with many other activities at Duveneck. She and her husband have been PiE supporters since 2019, and are firm believers that academics supported by the arts and music help create a well rounded child.

Bharti has a B.A. from UC Berkeley in Interdisciplinary Studies (Psychology, Biology and Public Health), and has B.S. and Masters degrees in Nursing from the University of Minnesota. After her B.A. she worked for EMQ Children and Family Services working with high risk youth and their families. Thereafter, she worked as an Undergraduate Nursing Research Assistant for Refugees with PTSD. After nursing school she worked as a Labor and Delivery Nurse in Minneapolis. After moving back to California she worked at pop-up flu and wellness clinics in the Bay Area. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, writing children’s book manuscripts, traveling, the outdoors, and music.
