Chris Colohan
Director of Marketing, Youth Ambassadors
Chris Colohan has been deeply involved in Palo Alto’s schools ever since his children started at Duveneck in 2016. He has volunteered for 7 years on two PTA boards (Duveneck and Greene), fundraised for PiE, revamped how PTAs reimburse parents, co-organized and moderated PTAC’s candidate debate for the 2022 school board election, and stood for election in 2024 for the PAUSD school board. Prior to that he was an engineer and manager at Google, where he worked for 10+ years after getting a PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon.
In addition to being a stay-at-home dad, Chris currently works for PAUSD as a substitute teacher: he teaches math, science, and music classes for grades 1-12.
