Pebel Rodriguez

Pebel Rodriguez and her family moved to Palo Alto in 2022 when her partner started at the Stanford Business School. Her son, now a freshman at Palo Alto High School, started at Greene Middle School in 7th grade. Born in Brooklyn in 2010, he spent his early years in New York City before the family relocated to Spain for three years. Since settling in Palo Alto, they have embraced the local community and enjoy skiing in Tahoe, long bike rides, and exploring California’s food and wine culture.

Professionally, Pebel is a licensed architect and the founder of Atelier Essex, an architecture and interior design practice. With over a decade of experience, she specializes in sustainable design and high-performance buildings, with expertise in Passive House, the Living Future Challenge, and LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). She serves as a Board Member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Silicon Valley and is the Chair of its Committee on the Environment, where she advocates for environmentally responsible architecture.
